A capacitive touchscreen may appear to be nothing more than a simple glass panel, but every component—from the touch sensor, FPC, and touch IC to the cover glass, OCA optical adhesive, and the overall device structure—can affect the final touch performance.
This is especially true for capacitive touchscreens used in industrial control, medical devices, in-vehicle terminals, smart home systems, charging stations, and outdoor equipment—they must not only “respond to touch” but also remain stable, precise, and reliable in complex environments.
Therefore, from the completion of production to official shipment, a capacitive touchscreen typically undergoes multiple functional, visual, performance, environmental, and reliability tests.
